What is the Entities platform?
Introduction:
Entities.wtf is a no code launchpad developed to empower artists & creators to easily assemble and deploy generative NFT collections.
The platform is open and available to anyone with an ETH wallet and we’ve mapped the creation process into three steps.
Assemble
Import artwork layers, assign traits, define naming conventions, and configure rarity settings.
Experiment
Generate randomized variations and visualize potential mint possibilities off-chain. Adjust and repeat until renders are flawless.
Note : Because these renders are off-chain, they are only a visual representation of the potential combinations that could be minted when deployed to the Mainnet.
Deploy
Finalize the collection’s minting settings and submit the collection to EntitiesDAO ( more on the DAO in the next article).
Once approved, the collection is assigned a launch date, added to our upcoming collections page, and promoted by EntitiesDAO.
Collections are deployed to Ethereum Mainnet 2-3 days before their launch date, and minting is unlocked at your scheduled launch date & time.
Each collection’s artwork is randomly generated on-chain, at the time of mint via blind minting or a mine-to-mint experience.
Note : There is a gas cost associated with deploying a smart contract into the Ethereum ecosystem. We are currently looking into potential options for collections to enable crowd funding for this process.
Approval Process
Submitted collections will need to be approved by the community via our DAO (decentralized autonomous organization). This serves a few purposes but mainly it allows the community to decide what projects get to represent the Entities platform and brand.
There are three voting possibilities:
Approved — The collection passed with flying colors and is ready for Mainnet deployment!
Not Ready — EntitiesDAO provides technical and aesthetic feedback, these collections can be resubmitted after 7 days.
This offers a great opportunity for collections to gauge market fit and interest without having to go beyond the point of no return.
Not For Us — EntitiesDAO decides the collection is not a great fit and the Entities platform offers an export option with suggested resources for an open source/bootstrapped deployment.
Royalties
EntitiesDAO receives a 7% commission for each token minted and a 3% royalty on secondary sales. The royalty is important in keeping the community incentivized to approve appropriate collections and offer valuable feedback.
These numbers are determined by the EntitiesDAO and are therefore subject to change according to community proposals & governance.
Royalties can be configured using the UI (shown below). This feature gives collections greater flexibility to allocate royalties to more than one wallet if desired.
Road Map
There are too many features planned and under development to list them all in this article, but here are two quick teasers.
Gamification — Battle, breeding, feeding!
Generative artwork types — Animated, 3D, algorithmic, and voxel!
We are constantly listening to community feedback so we can deliver the features that matter most to our users.
See the roadmap here to vote, suggest, and comment on what’s in the works!
