Create Generative NFT using the Entities Creator Studio

The Entities Creator Studio is an easy-to-use, no-code generative NFT creation platform for artists to design and launch their NFT collections seamlessly. This step by step walkthrough will cover the following topics:

Connecting Your Ethereum Wallet

  • In the top right corner, click the wallet icon and connect your Ethereum compatible wallet.
Connect your Ethereum Wallet to Entities.
Once your wallet is connected, you will see your wallet ID in the top right corner
  • Click the “Create” button on the top navigation bar to launch the Entities Creative Studio.

Creating a new collection

Entities.wtf Creative Studio

In the Creative Studio, you can see:

  • Projects you are building.
  • Projects you have submitted to the DAO.
  • Projects that have been proposed.
  • Projects that have been accepted by the DAO.
  • Projects that have been deployed to the Ethereum blockchain by the DAO.

Step 1 — Click the “+” sign in the top right to create a new NFT collection.

Step 2 — New Collection:

  1. Upload a logo — Upload a .jpeg or .png as an avatar image for your project.
  2. Name your collection — Choose a name for your NFT collection.
  3. Choose a Token Symbol — Choose a 3 to 4 character Token Symbol to represent the Token associated with your NFT collection. (No need to add the “$”)
  4. Click “Create.”
Name the new collection.

To revisit your project settings, click the “Project Settings” icon.

Project Settings icon.
The “Name Slot 1” and “Name Slot 2” create a generative naming formula for each render.

Creating traits

Step 3 — Add trait folders to the NFT collection by clicking the “+” next to the “Traits” folder.

Add trait folders by selecting the “+.”
Name the trait folder, select a persistence setting and organize trait folders.

Step 4 — New Trait

  • Name the trait folder.
  • Choose a persistence setting.
  • Assign the trait folder to a slot.

The Persistence pull-down has two options to choose from.

  • Always Render — image layers in a trait folder set to “Always Render” will always render upon hitting the “Generate” button.
  • Sometimes Render — image layers in a trait folder set to “Sometimes Render” will not always render. This means you may not see an image from this trait folder appear when you hit the “Generate” button.

The Slot # slider is how to determine the layer’s level.

  • Slot #1 is where to store background images or gradients.
  • Slot #2 images will sit on top of Slot #1.
  • Slot #3 will sit on top of Slot #2.
Layers stack on each other. Slot 1 is the bottom layer.

Uploading layers

Step 5 — Upload image layers to trait folders.

Uploading images to your trait folders.

The image uploader has two options.

  • Single Image Upload — Upload one image from your device, change its name, and set its rarity percentage.
  • Multiple Image Upload — Upload up to 10 images at once. They can be renamed and the rarity percentage can be set after they are uploaded.
Single Image Upload.
Multiple Image Upload.

Once your layers are uploaded, they are stored in the trait folder.

Collection of trait images stored in their trait folder.

Each image is displayed as a card. Clicking into one of the layer images in a trait folder will allow you to set rarity options.

Setting rarity

Set rarity by sliding the rarity slider bar.

Step 6 — Set Rarity

  • Click into an image layer and slide the rarity bar to the desired percentage.
  • The rarity is on a scale of 1% — 99%. Setting an image to 1% rarity will make that layer rarer.
  • Setting an image to 99% will make that layer more likely to appear.
  • Combined rarity should equal 99% when completed and “Rarity Space” should be 1%

Rarity can be viewed for each image by clicking into a trait folder.

The rarity number on the actual image layer card is in the bottom right-hand corner. It is denoted by a 🦄 emoticon.

Rarity Space should equal 1%.
Each image layer card shows the set rarity in the bottom right corner.

Generating Sample Renders

Step 7 — Generate sample renders.

In the creator studio project, on the left-hand side, there are two options:

  • “Generate” will generate one single sample render.
  • “▶” will continuously generate sample renders until you stop the process or when the sample renders reach 100.

Generating sample renders is a great way to preview work before launching it to the Ethereum blockchain or submitting it to the Entities DAO for a vote.

Sample renders are visible in the project.

Clicking into a generated image will show the metadata such as DNA, extension, and layer information.

Step 8 — Add an image to the sneak peek folder.

  • Click the preferred generated image
  • Click the “Add as a sneak peek”

This feature allows you to generate a public URL of a sharable image.

This is great to drum up excitement for a project by providing pre-launch previews.

Add a sample render to your sneak peek folder

To view a sneak peek image simply click the “Sneak Peek” button in the top right corner of the screen.

Clicking a sample render will reveal the sample DNA and allow you to add it to your sneak peek folder.

Clicking the “Sneak Peek” button brings you to the sneak peek collection.

View and copy the URLs of selected sneak peek sample renders.

Deploying your NFT

Finally, you are ready to deploy your first NFT collection! Congratulation 🎉.

Step 9 — Hit the “Deploy” button.

Click “Deploy” to start the publication of your NFT collection.

Hit the deploy button and follow these 5 stages to launch your collection:

Stage 1 — About Your Collection

  • Choose a logo.
  • Choose a banner image.
  • Make sure the collection has a name.
  • Make sure the collection has a token symbol.
  • Add a description.

Stage 2 — Minting Information

  • Determine the total supply of the NFT collection.
  • Set a Mint Price in $ETH.
  • Choose if the Mint Price increases each time a new mint is created.
  • Choose how many mints are created per transaction.
  • Select a Minting Experience.

The Minting Experience has 2 options:

🙈 Blind minting
The random shuffle of traits based on pre-determined rarity on reveal.

⛏️ Mine to Mint
Allows minters to mine the MetaGeckos smart contract for unique DNA strings, once a string is found, the combination is rendered. This allows you to preview a small selection of available tokens and click only the ones you want to mint. Rarity is determined based on what the community decides to mint.

Here is a video explaining the Mine to Mint process.

Mine to Mint process explained

Stage 3 — Payouts

  • Assign a wallet for the initial sale of the generative NFTs.
  • Assign secondary wallets and royalties.

Each time an NFT is sold second-hand the wallets assigned will get a percentage of that secondary market sale.

Stage 4 — Tokenomics

This is where to add value and utility to the generative NFT collection. Set Tokenomics values for Mint, Hold, and Burn.

Stage 5 — Finish

  • Add team members that helped make the NFT collection a reality.
  • Add a Discord server URL.
  • Add a Twitter account.
  • Add a website URL.
  • Click “Submit to DAO.”

When you submit your project to the Entities DAO, the DAO votes on the project and provides feedback or promotes and lists the NFT collection.

NOTE: Entities.wtf will soon release a self-launch aspect for those who do not want to go through our DAO approval process. This self-launch process will allow collections to mint directly to a collection owner's website.

Congratulations!

You’ve designed and deployed your first generative NFT! If you have any questions be sure to drop by our Discord server. For frequent updates follow us on Twitter.
